After Hours Assistance
In the absense of Beamline staff members, the Floor Coordinator functions as the first contact if Users encounter a problem. FCs are equipped with knowledge of common diagnostic issues related to software and hardware, and are trained in how to resolve them. They maintain a record of standard fixes to reoccurring Beamline issues. If they do not have the answer to a specific Beamline problem, Floor Coordinators can contact on-call Technical User Support Team members. The goal is to be able to aid users as quickly and efficiently as possible.
This allows for around-the-clock support for all Users at all Beamlines.
