Machine Operations 

The Floor Coordinators are trained with the technical background necessary to act as a liaison between the Users on the Experimental Floor and the Accelerator Operator in the Control Room.

As such, they are able to answer technical questions and provide more of an insight to the function and inner workings of the facility. The FC will always be aware of when the next scheduled injection is and of any problems that are occurring with the operation of the beam, such as a delay in injection, beam trip, or beam instability. This allows the users to obtain the needed information in order to use the awarded beam time more efficiently.

Any feedback regarding beam issues should be directed towards the FC, who will then communicate with the Accelerator Operator to resolve the issue for the User.
